How to Run on Your Computer
Doccr Backtester runs inside Docker. Think of Docker as an app player that lets you run the backtester and its database securely with a single click—no technical setup required.
Docker Desktop is a free application that allows your computer to run containerized software safely and effortlessly.
Press ⊞ Windows Key, type PowerShell or Command Prompt, press Enter, and paste the command below:
curl -O https://media.doccr.in/docker-compose.prod.yml && docker compose -f docker-compose.prod.yml up -dWhat happens when you run this?
- Docker automatically downloads the official public images (
ajmalshahabudeen/doccr-backtesting-webanddoccr-backtesting-worker). - The database and charting server automatically configure themselves in the background with zero prompts.
- Usually takes less than 45 seconds on average broadband.
Prefer creating the docker-compose.yml file manually?▼
1. Create a new folder on your computer named doccr-backtest.
2. Inside that folder, create a text file named docker-compose.yml and paste this text:
# Doccr Backtesting Studio - Standalone Docker Setup
# Save this file as: docker-compose.yml
# Then in terminal run: docker compose up -d
